Travel Medicine Consultation

$95 Appointment Fee

Your travel medicine consultation includes:

  • Review of your travel itinerary
  • Personalized health and safety recommendations
  • Vaccine recommendations based on destination
  • Discussion of travel-related medications and preventive care
  • Opportunity to ask questions and receive expert guidance

Payment is expected on the day of your appointment.

Patients with limited income may qualify for a sliding fee discount for the consultaion. Please ask our team about eligibility when scheduling.

Insurance Information

We Do Not Bill Insurance

HealthNet does not file travel medicine services with insurance companies. However, we can provide an itemized statement that you may submit to your insurance carrier for possible reimbursement.

Please note:

  • Reimbursement decisions are made solely by your insurance company.
  • HealthNet cannot guarantee reimbursement for any travel medicine services.
  • Patients are responsible for payment at the time services are provided.

Vaccines & Travel Medications

Travel Vaccines

HealthNet offers a variety of vaccines commonly recommended for international travel, based on your destination and travel plans.

  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Typhoid
  • Yellow Fever
  • Tdap
  • Meingitis
  • Influenza (Flu)
  • Polio
  • Other routine travel-related immunizations

Vaccines must be paid for at the time they are administered.

Vaccine costs vary based on the specific vaccines recommended for your trip. HealthNet’s Sliding Fee Discount Program does not apply to vaccine costs.

Travel-Related Prescriptions

HealthNet also offers access to a pharmacy that can assist with certain travel-related medications, including preventive and destination-specific prescriptions when appropriate.

Your provider will discuss recommended medications during your consultation.
