Adult Dental Care

Effective Friday, September 25th, HealthNet dental services will care for children, youth, and adults through age 26. HealthNet will not be able to provide regular dental care for patients 27 or older after that date.

Dental locations at People’s Health and Dental Center and Southwest Health & Dental Center will be temporarily closed after September 25th. We do not have a reopen date yet.

Barrington Health & Dental Center and Speedway Health & Dental Center will see children, youth, and adults through age 26.

Where can I go for dental care?

Your dental health is important. We want to help you continue the care you need. Please try to find a dentist soon to help avoid gaps in your care.

• Call your insurance company and ask for a list of dentists who accept your insurance.
• Visit your insurance company’s website. It may have a list of dentists who accept your insurance.
• If you have Medicaid, use the Indiana Health Coverage Program Provider Locator page to find a dentist.
• Visit this list of dental providers who accept Medicaid, organized by geographic area.

What if I have a dental emergency?

HealthNet can help with urgent dental problems through September 25th. After that date, please contact another dentist for dental care. If you have severe pain, swelling, bleeding, or trouble breathing, please get help right away.

Can I still see my other HealthNet health care providers?

Yes. You can still see your primary care provider and/or behavioral health provider. You can also continue to use the HealthNet pharmacy and its free delivery offering.
