NFL Alumni Association Hosts Cheers for Charity Fundraiser Benefiting HealthNet


The NFL Alumni Association will host a “Cheers for Charity” fundraiser benefiting HealthNet on Monday, Dec. 8, at Drake’s, 3740 E. 82nd Street.

The event begins at 6 p.m. and will include giveaways, a silent auction, prize drawings, and a Madden 15 video game tournament that is free to enter and open to all ages (youth under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian). In partnership with eBash Video Game Centers, tournament registration begins at 6 p.m. Matches begin at 7 p.m. First prize includes two tickets to the Dec. 14 Colts vs. Texans game and a $100 NFL Alumni Super Bowl trip raffle ticket. Second prize is two tickets to the Dec. 14 Colts vs. Texans game.

Through its network of eight primary care health centers, one OB/GYN care center, a pediatric/adolescent care center, nine school-based clinics, five dental clinics, Homeless Initiative Program, Healthy Families, social work and other support services, HealthNet annually provides health care to more than 58,800 individuals – the majority of whom live at or below the federal poverty level.  For more event information, contact Kay Johnson at or Ali Anderson at
