Hard Rock Partners with The Homeless Initiative Program

12/20/2010

The Hard Rock Cafe is collecting new or gently used coats through Jan. 31, 2011 for HealthNet’s Homeless Initiative Program to share with the homeless clients they serve.

As the largest and most comprehensive program for the homeless in the state, HIP delivered services to over 2,900 men, women, and children just last year. HIP provides a network of services to treat the whole person, as he or she moves from homelessness into self-sufficiency. Through a multi-disciplinary approach, HIP coordinates housing, health care, outreach, case management, employment training and support services for the homeless in Marion County.

Donated coats are very much appreciated. If you, your department, church group or volunteer organization would like to help, items may be dropped off in the donation box located in the restaurant’s lobby. When you donate a coat, you will have the opportunity to be entered into a weekly prize drawing for dinner for 2 at Hard Rock.

The Hard Rock Cafe is located at 49 S. Meridian St. Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
