Free Flu Shots in Martinsville on Dec. 22
HealthNet is offering a second free flu shot clinic on Tuesday, December 22, from 10:00am-2:00pm, in the Martinsville Baptist Tabernacle Church parking lot. To minimize the potential for exposure to COVID-19, this is a drive-through event. Please wear a mask and remain in your cars. If you do not have a mask one will be provided to you. Flu shots are available for children and adults.
People at high risk of serious flu complications include young children, pregnant women, people with certain chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes or heart and lung disease and people 65 years and older. Many people at higher risk from flu also seem to be at higher risk from COVID-19. The Center for Disease Control highly recommends that people in these high-risk groups be vaccinated in order to decrease their risk of severe flu illness, in addition to the general population.
