Raymond St., and will take participants through several nearby southside neighborhoods. The family-friendly event will include prize drawings and more.
Online registration is available at www.racemaker.org/event/healthnet-hustle. Individual registration is discounted to $30 per person until Sept. 22. After Sept. 22, individual registration will be $35/per person. The family registration fee is $100 for a family of four, plus $25 for each additional family member. Participants who register by Sept. 22 are guaranteed a participation medal and long-sleeved t-shirt.
Prizes will be awarded to the overall first-, second- and third-place male and female finishers as well as the top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-45, 46-65, 66 and older.
Race proceeds will go toward HealthNet’s Homeless Initiative Program (HIP). Each year, HIP serves more than 1,600 individuals who are experiencing or immediately threatened with homelessness. Proceeds from the race allow HIP to support emergency needs of food and clothing for those who are on the street. They will also help us to support households in obtaining and maintaining employment and housing by ensuring access to transportation, work uniforms, utility deposits, and security deposits.
Since 1968, HealthNet has improved the health status of Indianapolis’ inner-city neighborhoods by making quality health services accessible to everyone. From its beginnings in a converted bank building staffed by one physician, HealthNet has grown to a citywide non-profit organization with 34 locations and more than 500 employees. It is one of the nation’s largest Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC).
Through its network of nine community-based, comprehensive primary care health centers, four dental centers, nine school-based clinics, and support services, HealthNet annually provides affordable health care to nearly 60,000 individuals – many of whom live at or below the federal poverty level. In 2018, the centers delivered 258,074 patient visits. HealthNet is the first and only network of primary health care centers in Indiana to earn the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™. Less than 300 centers nationwide have achieved this honor.
