Krista Detor’s Annual Holiday Show is a Bloomington tradition, in its 13th year. For the first time, this year’s concert will be presented as a livestream, with special guests from Europe, Ireland and U.K., and Australia. Though FREE, tickets must be reserved in advance.
Krista Detor is an internationally recognized Singer/Songwriter and Composer who lives in Bloomington. She has several critically acclaimed albums, musical theatre compositions, international collaborations, and publications.
Every year Krista selects a local nonprofit as the concert’s beneficiary. This year’s show is a benefit for the HealthNet Foundation’s Patient Emergency Assistance Fund. This fund expands the fund that the Volunteers in Medicine board created for HealthNet Bloomington Health Center so that patients throughout the HealthNet system can apply for assistance to help them pay for medical bills. A Donation Portal will be included on the livestream site and Krista will promote HealthNet during the concert.
The show will feature performances by several fantastic guest artists, including London actor John Schwab of the Netflix Smash Hit, The Queen’s Gambit; Ireland’s Seamus Egan with lauded composer and performer Moira Smiley; Hamburg’s Someday Jacob; Award-winning Dublin poet Anne Fitzgerald; from Australia, Aerialist Dreya Weber; and many more! Krista will emcee the show and perform live with her band throughout the 90-minute program.
