COO Announces Move to Maryland

HealthNet Chief Operating Officer Sonja Bachus has announced her plans to relocate to Maryland after nearly four years of remarkable service with HealthNet.

Beginning in late April, she will become the President/CEO of Greater Baden Medical Services, a Federally Qualified Health Center in Brandywine, Maryland about 20 miles south of Washington, D.C.

While she leaves big shoes to fill, we congratulate her as she fulfills a lifelong career goal and takes on new leadership responsibilities serving underserved communities.

Sonja’s contributions to HealthNet have truly been exceptional. She began her work with HealthNet in 2015 as Deputy Chief Operating Officer and became Chief Operating Officer in 2016. Under her leadership, our organization has dramatically expanded service lines, improved customer service and enhanced patient work flow.

A national search for Sonja’s replacement is under way. Deputy Chief Operating Officer Carrie Bonsack will serve as interim COO beginning April 13 and will work closely with Sonja during this time of transition.

Please join us in congratulating Sonja on her new role and thanking her for her service to HealthNet. We will keep you updated as the search process continues. Thank you for your ongoing support of HealthNet.
