National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day takes place each year on the longest night of the year, Dec. 21st. Communities around the country host similar memorials.

According to the latest Indianapolis Point-In-Time Count, on a single night in January 2015, 1,666 men, women, transgender individuals, and children were identified as being homeless. Of the adults counted in 2015, 389 were veterans. Last year, HIP served 3,092 clients through walk-in triage, street and shelter outreach, medical care, employment training, veterans’ assistance, housing and more.  HIP continues to lead our community in providing intensive services that include rapid re-housing for all those homeless in Marion County.

Thank you for your continued support of HealthNet’s Homeless Initiative Program as we continue to serve our homeless neighbors here in Indianapolis.
